Donations for the International Women’s House
The International Women’s House is a domestic violence shelter with a mission to provide a safe haven and supportive services to women and children who are the victims of family violence, sexual abuse, and human trafficking, with a focus on immigrant and refugee women and children, cultural sensitivity and self-sufficiency.
Non-English-speaking battered women are among the most isolated and vulnerable victims of domestic violence. The International Women’s House helps them to get out of their abusive situation and into a self-sufficient new life.
Small Business Services has arranged to be a drop off site for tangible donations to help these women on their journey. Many of them arrive with little to no personal belongings. Your donations will assist in keeping them comfortable during their stay at IWH as well as help them get established in their new homes. We’ve provided a list of suggested items below.

More About the International Women’s House
The International Women’s House provides a safe haven and supportive services for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, including: legal advocacy, immigration assistance, state program assistance, child care, TANF (temporary Assistance for Needy Families), transitional housing assistance, job training/job placement, mental/physical health assessment, ESOL classes, parenting skills training, children’s programs, support groups, They also run a 24 hour crisis hotline for victims of domestic violence or sexual assault.
