Creative Loafing (Atlanta) featured our SIR client, Home Grown Ga, in one of their restaurant reviews! The owners, Kevin Clark and Lisa Spooner, have recently joined the Start It Right! program, and their newly opened restaurant is already creating a buzz...

Men Stopping Violence, Inc.

Men Stopping Violence( MSV), a SBS client since 2005, has been working for almost 30 years to provide practical strategies for building safer communities for women and girls. MSV’s careful approach has established the national organization as a leader in the field of ending men's violence against women.
This year, MSV is furthering its expertise and proudly announcing the launch of more ‘train the trainer’ designed programs. In September, MSV is holding an open invitation Because We Have Daughters training. BWHD is a dynamic, interactive teaching tool for dads and daughters that helps strengthen their relationships. The program develops a set of core values, like active listening, and shows dads and daughters how to apply them. BWHD sessions create safe spaces for men to talk to each other about their fatherhood needs and concerns. Often they tell MSV that it is the first time they have taken the opportunity to talk with other men about topics such as parenting, sexism, etc.
